However, even after meticulously implementing all stages of reconstruction, ambiguities regarding the author's role (as an original author or a transmitter) or ambiguities in the work’s title may leave the sifting process of the intended lost work incomplete and ambiguous. These two challenges, termed "ambiguity in determining the author" and "ambiguity in determining the work," simultaneously manifest in the process of reconstructing the book Al-Ghaybah (The Occultation) by Ibn Samaʿah, a prominent third-generation Waqifiyya sect scholar. This occurs despite the fact that the initial conditions for reconstructing his writings on the occultation appear fully attainable.<br /><br />Firstly, the chains of transmission (asanid) traced back to him on the topic of Mahdism are recorded in the most important early occultation texts with consistent chains (sanad) and significant frequency. Secondly, in some cases, the transmission paths (ṭuruq) leading to him align with those mentioned for his written works in the al-fihristayn. Although the aforementioned challenges leave much of the reconstruction of this work incomplete, a careful examination of Ibn Samaʿah’s surviving chains of transmission yields valuable insights بازسازی کتب مفقود حدیثی شیعه، اگرچه با اتخاذ الگویی نظام‌مند، در اغلب موارد به محتوای یک اثر حدیثیِ مفقود منجر می‌شود، اما گاه به رغم پیاده‌سازی همه مراحل بازسازی، ممکن است ابهام در نقش تألیفی یا انتقالی مؤلِّف، یا ابهام در عنوان تألیف، تنقیب به اثر مفقودِ مدّنظر را ناتمام یا مجمل بگذارد. این دو معضل که از آنها با عنوانِ «اجمال در تعیین مؤلِّف» و «اجمال در تعیین مؤلًّف» یاد می‌شود، به طور همزمان در فرایندِ بازسازیِ کتاب الغیبة ابن سماعه، محدث مشهور نسل سوم واقفه، بروز می‌نماید. این امر در حالی است که ابتدائاً شرایطِ بازسازی غیبت‌نگاری او تماماً فراهم به نظر می‌رسد. زیرا اولاً أسانیدِ منتهی به او در باب مهدویت، با سلسله إسناد یکسان، و با بسامد قابل اعتنایی در مهم‌ترین کتب غیبت متقدم ثبت شده و ثانیاً در برخی موارد، طرق منتهی به او، با طریق یاد شده برای مکتوبات وی در فهرستین، یکسان است. اگر چه دو معضل یادشده، بخش عمده‌ای از بازسازی اثر مذکور را ناتمام می‌گذارد، اما با این همه، دقت در أسانید برجای مانده از ابن سماعه، فواید حدیثی و کلامی قابل اعتنایی را دربردارد. https://hadith.riqh.ac.ir/article_13792_cb07c5ef8cbc5620df78a5fc17b36906.pdf
